Eight Months

On your eight month birthday...

Your stats:

Weight: 14 lbs 6 oz (not exact since we didn't go to the Dr. this month)

**You weigh the same as you did last month!! I emailed your Dr. and he said it was fine! You are just beginning to be more mobile!

Height: 27 inches (again, not exact)

Diapers: Size 2

Clothes: We have put up all your 0-3 month sleepers.  You are right on target, wearing 6-12 months, although they are pretty big on you!

Sleep: Still the same, with an 8 o'clock bedtime and waking between 6:30-7.

Feeding: You are still nursing 5-6 times a day.  On top of nursing you are eating solids 3 times a day! You are doing better than I could have hoped for. You are not picky at all and most of the time you are not messy!! Yay! (insert your little sweets claps here) 

What you are up to:

-You can clap on demand! :)

-You roar/growl just because your happy

-You babble "bababa"

-Anytime you see someones toes you try to tickle them.  If we don't laugh right away, you pull on our toes until we laugh or at least fake laugh to suit you!!

-We think your favorite color may be yellow. You always clap when we turn to that page in your color book.

-Momma turned 26. ouch!

-You figured out the meaning of "up"

-We went to Grand Lake for your first Memorial Day!

-You have almost perfected the pincer grip!

-May 29th- A huge hail storm hit and broke 3 of our windows and totaled our roof.  I went to get you out of bed since your bed is near a window.  You never cried, but you held on to me so tight and buried your head into my shoulder. 

-You bob up and down (while sitting) when you hear familiar music

-You swam for the first time May 4th in an inside pool at a hotel Daddy Jim and Gigi were staying at in Bricktown. You were a little unsure at first because the water was a little chilly, but once you got used to it you splashed, kicked, and laughed! I think we have a water baby!

-Every night before bed, Daddy dances with you around your room (ballroom style).  Most of the time you get the sweetest smile, but other times you are just ready for bed so you cry.  It is still so cute.  We love this time because the look you have on your face says you're in love with your daddy. ;)

-You can officially find Momma's nose when I ask you

-You are refusing to crawl.  Anytime we try to practice, you just turn over to your back.  I guess I'm okay with it. I don't want to wish away your milestones AND it makes my job easier for now! :)

-You know how to play peek-a-boo with a hat over your face

-You are doing really well at putting small pieces of food into your mouth
